Photography for me is a passionate hobby. I work in the engineering industry and spend the weekends capturing images when the time allows.
When I plan a shoot, I’m up and on location before sunrise which allows me plenty of time to take in the scene, look for pleasing compositions and set my camera on the tripod - then I just need to wait for the light.
My main interests are landscapes and seascapes as I enjoy being out and about - in most conditions..
This website is a platform to show my favourite images. All the photographs are available as prints.

About me
I am an enthusiastic landscape & seascape photographer based in the North East of England. With a love of the outdoors, inspired by many camping holidays in the Lake District and Cornwall as a child, I enjoy capturing landscape and coastal images around the UK.
I am lucky to live on the doorstep of some great locations such as the Yorkshire Moors and the Yorkshire Coastline and I’m only a short drive from the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and Northumberland.
I have been fortunate to be shortlisted in Landscape Photographer of the Year, 2018. This is my greatest achievement by far and feel extremely lucky. My goal now is to go one step further and be entered in to the book.
How it all began…
My first camera was an Olympus OM10 which I got as a Christmas present at the age of 14. I think this was the start of the photography bug. I didn’t start digital photography until 2015 when I bought my first entry level Nikon camera and kit lens.
As I gained more experience through various workshops and courses, my kit and appreciation grew as well - and is still growing. I soon realised that I wanted to concentrate on landscape photography and this is where most of my time as a photographer has been invested.
My style is still developing and improving the more I head outside and shoot.
What i like to shoot
I like to slow down time when capturing landscape and seascape images. With the use of filters, I can experiment and control how the final image will appear from the scene in front of me.
I also have a keen interest in producing black & white images and film photography.
