After reading a few blogs and articles online on how easy and forgiving it is to shoot with Kodak’s Portra 400, I decided to pack a couple of 35mm rolls along with my Nikon FA camera, a couple of prime lenses and a basic light meter for our second visit to Dubrovnik.

After much deliberation and weighing up the costs whether to buy a printer or not for home, I decided to bite the bullet and go for it – plus there was a great offer at the photography show which made the purchase less painful.
And I’m glad I did. Although printing is a bit of an art form in itself, it’s great to see your final image on paper rather than just on your screen and later forgotten about on your hard drive.
